This past weekend our shooting assignment was giving thanks. For my first photo I took a picture of my nephew Cole. I chose to use this photo because I am very thankful for him and my niece who constantly bring me joy and happiness. When I first imported this photo on light room is was very bright and over whelming. So to even out the colours I white balanced the photo, after that I made the photo a little cooler toned than what it already was. To make his face and eyes pop I turned up the white. To take the overwhelming feeling of the photo away I turned down the exposure just a bit. Lastly to make hit hat and clothes pop, I turned the vibrancy up a little bit.
Every year on thanksgiving I go to my Grandma and Grandads house on thanksgiving Monday. This particular tree bush is always the prettiest bush to look at around their house. I am thankful because getting to see this bush means I'm going to my grandparents house which is a great tradition. I feel the colours contrast well with the sky. This is good because the sky and trees both pop. I adjusted the crop a little bit as there was a tiny piece of the road showing. Next I white balanced the photo to make it even. I adjusted the warmness of the photo to make the reds pop more. Finally I turned the vibrancy up so that way all the different colours could contrast with each other and make each other stand out.
Finally, I decided to capture pictures of my cousins new puppy, Bella. Although I currently don't have a pet I am thankful for how much happiness animals bring me and many others. To start off with this photo I first white balanced it to even out the display of colours. I then made the photo warmer. I turned up the vibrance to make the red house and the green grass compliment each other. I then finished by turning the whites up to really make her stand out in the picture.
